The Cessna 172 is four-seat single-engine piston high-wing airplane, created to be as reliable and safe as the C152, but offering more space and a bigger cockpit capacity. It is the most successful and the most produced aircraft in history. As a popular choice, worldwide, it is improved upon constantly with more advanced systems and avionics. In our fleet, we have six Cessna 172s in total, four of which are equipped with the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. This cockpit integrates all flight instruments and increases the pilot´s spatial awareness and general flight safety by ergonomically obtaining flight information. For this reason, we chose to use these airplanes in our flight school to teach flight instruments, among other things. This airplane has a 180- horsepower four-cylinder Lycoming engine, enabling cruising speeds of up to 230 km/h. Its maximum distance is 960 km and the airplane can climb up to 4 200 metres.
The aircraft is used primarily for:
- basic and advanced pilot training
- instrument flight training
- training flights abroad
- sightseeing flights
